Windblume Festival Returns… with a Deadly Twist

The peaceful Windblume Festival returns to Mondstadt—but not everything is as joyful as it seems. Initially filled with cozy vibes, flower arrangements, and romantic poetry, the event quickly spirals into a drama-filled courtroom arc that shakes the entire region.

🔍 Albedo’s Past Comes to Light

Albedo, Mondstadt’s mysterious alchemist, is once again caught in the middle of chaos. His past with Rhinedottir, his creator—also known as “Gold,” is brought into focus. Rhinedottir’s ancient goal to uncover the “truth of the world” resurfaces, and she may be closer than ever to fulfilling that mission.

Things take a darker turn when Albedo is accused of murder and put on trial in front of all of Mondstadt. As the festival collapses into chaos, Abyss monsters invade the city, and suspicions grow. All the while, the ever-composed Dahlia, a new Hydro character, joins Jean in leading an investigation to get to the truth.

But the surprises don’t stop there...

A secret Hexenzirkle meeting unfolds—on an actual chessboard. With the whimsical yet unpredictable Alice involved, reality and illusion begin to blur. The Archons' fates and old secrets are on the line.

And in the middle of the trial? Neuvillette is stabbed, shocking everyone. The verdict? Albedo is declared guilty. The implications of this event are massive, not only for Mondstadt but possibly for the entire continent of Teyvat.

And yes—you heard correctly. Barbatos (Venti) and Varka both make appearances. The lore levels are off the charts.

New Characters – Escoffier and Ifa Join the Fray

❄️ Escoffier – 5-Star Cryo Support/DPS

One of the most unique characters in Genshin yet, Escoffier is the former head chef of Hotel Debord, but don’t let the apron fool you. She’s a combat-ready Cryo user backed by an adorable but deadly kitchen-support mek.

🧊 Key Features:

Cryo support and Freeze team synergy
Elemental Skill: Summons a following cooking mek that attacks enemies
Elemental Burst: Heals the entire team while applying Hydro & Cryo RES debuffs to enemies
The RES debuff can reach up to -55%, depending on team composition (scaling with the number of Hydro and Cryo units)
Buffs, Heals, Applies RES debuffs, and even cooks mid-battle

As long as her elemental skill or burst hits enemies, the RES reduction takes effect. Enemies don’t have to be frozen to take the RES reduction which means this will affect the bosses and other un-freezable enemies.

When Escofier unleashes her elemental skill, she summons a cooking mek to the field that follows the active character and periodically fires projectiles at nearby enemies dealing Cryo Damage just like we’ve talked about her leaked kit. But now it’s confirmed!

With her ability to shred resistance she can basically buff her own damage. In addition her elemental burst restores HP to all the party members.

If you hold her Elemental Skill, the cooking mek she summons can absorb elemental energy and convert it to a delicious dish.

She’s a must-pull for Freeze teams or anyone who loves a support-DPS hybrid who brings utility, flavor, and firepower.

Ifa – 4-Star Anemo Support/Healer

Straight from Natlan, Ifa is a Saurian veterinarian who brings his unique combat style and quirky personality into battle. He’s joined by his rideable companion, Cacucu, who adds movement and tactical flexibility to his kit.

🌟 Key Features:

Fires tonicshots from mid-air while riding Cacucu
Provides healing and buffs to Swirl and Electro-Charged damage
In Natlan zones, Ifa uses Phlogiston to automatically heal allies when HP falls
A great off-field support with exciting exploration potential

As we expected, we can ride Cacucu just like Kinich does with Ajaw! Seems pretty fun!

When faced with aggressive enemies, Ifa can unleash his elemental burst and fire a “Therapeutic Sedative” creating a wind current that pulls in and restrains enemies.

With Ifa’s elemental skill, Cacucu lifts him to the air giving him an aerial advantage in combat. While in this state, Ifa can continuously fire Tonicshots which deal Anemo Damage upon impact and restores HP to the entire party.

When Ifa is in his Nightsoul’s blessing state, he can use his Field Medic’s Vision to increase swirl and electro charged damage based on the total Nightsoul’s points across the entire party.

Plus in areas with Natlan’s phlogiston mechanics, if your current active character or indwelled saurian’s HP drops below a certain percent, Ifa can consume his own phlogiston to heal them!

Ifa’s blend of unique mobility, healing, and elemental support makes him a standout 4-star unit in 5.6.

New Weekly Boss: Secret Source Automaton – Overseer Device

Prepare to challenge this new high-tech threat!
The Secret Source Automaton will be essential for Escoffier’s ascension materials. It comes with a unique set of attack patterns and a visual design rooted in Fontaine’s technological legacy.

⚖️ Archon Quest: The Paralogism

If you thought Windblume would be relaxing, think again.
This update’s Archon Quest takes us through emotional highs and terrifying truths as Albedo stands trial. But that’s just the beginning:
