After seeing numerous ads for Flame of Valhalla, curiosity definitely got the best of us, making us excited about what it has to offer. The advertising is great, and without a doubt, the game’s visuals are impressive, but it initially feels similar to many other RPGs, featuring rapid level-ups and auto-play mechanics. While these elements might appeal to some, they didn't immediately grab my interest.

Things we liked about the game include the diverse classes to choose from, cross-server battles with guilds, a wide array of upgrades, and a rich assortment of pets, armor, wings, and wardrobe options. Players can engage in quests, side missions, and collect cards to enhance their characters. It reminds us somewhat of the game Wartune RPG but with more modern twists.

Its mechanics are a bit distinct from typical RPGs and are almost designed for auto-play. We found it really easy to level up in this game, but it is way too similar to other MMO RPG games out there, making it a little less exciting and boring for us. Even though this is an open-world game, you can only randomly teleport from one place to another. Auto pathing and auto combat make you feel like you don't play the game so much as watch it play itself.

Another thing we noticed is that there are so many ways to spend money and get ahead of other players, and the game kind of rewards you more the more you spend, encouraging you to do that. Although the game boasts an immersive Norse setting, engaging combat mechanics, a variety of character choices, and way better graphics than other similar games, its reliance on repetitive tasks to progress, potential pay-to-win elements, and limited social interaction are discouraging for me as a player but we love the game.

Ultimately, the decision to play Flame of Valhalla depends on individual preferences. If you're drawn to immersive Norse worlds, engaging combat, and character progression, this game is worth considering. However, players should be prepared for the typical grind associated with online role-playing games and be mindful of potential pay-to-win influences.
